Bio: “I first started playing tennis when I was four. I played all through school and was on the varsity team and competed in many tournaments. I started surfing when I was 10 years old and found that catching a wave was one of the best feelings. I have always lived a healthy and athletic lifestyle, as being active is what makes me feel good and be happy. Growing up next to the beach has made me very environmentally conscious and has led me to study Environmental Business in school. I know the beach will always be a part of my life just as surfing and tennis will be. Other activities that I enjoy are hiking, stand up paddle boarding, and doing yoga.
Q & A:
Q: What is it about you that makes you a LoveSurf Girl?
A: I am a LoveSurf Girl because I am fun, happy, creative, and love fashion! I always have a great attitude and a positive outlook on life. I love making the most out of everyday and feel being unique from everyone is the best way to live. I also enjoy making others happy with my personality. I live a very athletic and healthy lifestyle through the many sports that I do.
I am very passionate about these sports and always will be. I recently got into yoga and will always love trying new things. I strive to succeed in whatever it is I’m doing, especially in school. I have volunteered at many places including the St. Vincent de Paul Homeless Shelter and at Meals-On-Wheels and feel it has impacted my life very much on showing me how fortunate I am.
Q: What is a typical week for you? Do you follow a strict training routine?
A: On a typical week I would say surfing is what I do most. I either go with my dad or with friends and stay out for a few hours. The feeling of catching a wave is definitely one of the best and is one of the reasons why I am so addicted to surfing. I also feel I have a great attachment to the beach, as I have grown up next to it all my life and it is so mysterious and beautiful.
I do not follow a strict training routine accept when working out on my own time. I make sure to do certain things (planks, lunges, crunches, etc.) to keep myself strong and fit. I try and go to yoga as much as possible depending on what is going on during that week.
I practice tennis with my dad often and compete in tournaments every once and a while. In high school I was on the varsity tennis team all four years as well as the surf and swim team my junior year. I really enjoy living a healthy and active lifestyle through what I eat and what I do because it makes me feel good and makes me happy.
